Coupons!

So I have been on this coupon kick. I subscribe to the Sunday paper now just so I can clip coupons. I am addicted. I told Dave the other day that he has the best wife ever cause I just went to Albertsons got $100 dollars of groceries for $40 all by using coupons :) Yes I'm that annoying lady that you get behind at the register that takes forever cause she has to use her millions of coupons, but it is so worth it! So I just wanted to let people know that at my clubhouse a lady is teaching us how to buy groceries for dinner for a family of 4 for $180 in a month, plus how to save lots of $$$ on groceries without having to go to 5 different stores. If you would like to go it's this Saturday, January 31st, 10am at the Cambria Club House. My favorite website is savvyshoppers.com it tells you all the HOT deals! It's great, and I know I'm a dork, but with the economy right now I have to be so sorry if you get behind me at the store :)

GO PILOTS!!!

When I heard this story I was feeling a lot of emotions mainly pilots need to be appreciated more! This pilot from great training saved all these peoples lives. Now I see why Dave stresses so much every time his annual or biannual training in the simulator comes up. Lets remember there were 2 pilots flying this airplane and we have to thank both of them for saving these lives. My heart goes out to those who were hurt but so happy no one died from this tragic event.

Pilot Saves Lifes!

All 155 survive as pilot ditches plane in Hudson

AP 1 hr 10 mins ago

NEW YORK – A cool-headed pilot maneuvered his crippled jetliner over New York City and ditched it in the frigid Hudson River on Thursday, and all 155 on board were pulled to safety as the plane slowly sank. It was, the governor said, "a miracle on the Hudson." Full Story»

1st Popsicle

We went out to the Chinese restaurant and they had Popsicles. He was starting to get antsy so we thought what the heck, it will distract him for a while. He loved it and wanted to share it we Dave and I. He's so sweet :)

Cheesecake Factory

Dave is on reserve for the whole month of January. It's nice cause Dave gets to stay home more and get to hang out with Dexton and me. He hasn't had to go in yet but of course on our anniversary he gets called to work, bummer, but it actually worked out cause Dave, Dexton, and I were all really sick so we probably wouldn't have gone out anyways. So Thursday I got the night off from work, my awesome sistern'law Lisa watched Dexton while Dave and I went out. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory which was AWESOME! I got the Navajo sandwhich and Dave got the fish tacos. Dave didn't like the corn tortillas so we switched meals and I loved the fish tacos and he loved the sandwhich. Little pricey but so...good! Then that night we went and saw 7 pounds, don't worry I won't tell you anything about it I hate it when people ruin the movie for you but I will say I didn't like it, thought it was slow, but a great story, Dave on the other hand really liked it but said he probably wouldn't see it again.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!

Dave and I are celebrating 7 years! I can't believe it, time has gone by so fast. We have so much to be thankful for especially for our little boy Dexton. He has made our life change and made us love each other more then ever. I love my Dave so much. He is so awesome. He gives me massages when I'm having a hard day or just to say I love you, he cleans my house magnificent, he works hard as a pilot and is gone and lonely in a hotel for 4 days out of the week, he is the best dad in the world, and he loves me with all his heart. Thanks Dave, I love you and can't wait to make more memories with each other!

Dave purposed to me at the Salt Lake City Airport. I was with my family returning from Florida and there he was with my friend Emily and with his friends and family with a bouquet of roses with a huge sign saying "Lue will you marry me" Lue is just a name he made up for me. When we were dating he would call me Alisha Lue and it just stuck and I love that he has a name for me. But right in front of everyone he got on one knee and purposed to me. It was PERFECT! Everyone started clapping when I said yes.

A look at the past. I don't think I have changed that much but I think Dave has changed more then me...for the good.

Don't eat Yellow Snow!

Dexton ate so much snow. He thought we were in a big snow cone. Every time we turned around he had his face in the snow eating it. We kept telling him not to eat it but then we just gave up cause all the other kids were eating it too. Oh well no one got hurt and they had fun.

Sledding!

We decided to go sledding with my sister n'laws and some of our friends and their kids. Dexton had a blast. He loved every moment of it from sledding to playing with the snow. He cried when we left. His cousins love him so he had so much fun with them sledding. I don't think I could have gone with out Dave. When I tried hiking back up the hill with Dexton I just kept sliding down so Dave would have to come get him, so Dave defiantly got a work out. We loved it though!!! Snow is so much funner now that we have Dexton, he just loves it!

I'M SO EXCITED!

So far blogging has been great for me especially for my cupcake business. Just today I got this email...

Hi Alisha and Angie,
I just discovered your cupcake business and blog! I love what you do and your cupcakes look/sound great. I recently started a new blog just about cupcakes and Utah. I just posted about your beehive cupcakes and included some of your order and flavor information. Here's the post. I've included a link and appropriate credit to make sure my readers know you took the picture.
I've also included you in our Utah Cupcake Location/Information and Utah Cupcake Lovers pages. I'd love for you to join our Utah Loves Cupcakes Flickr Pool. I frequently pull and post pictures of cupcakes from our pool and would love to feature Cravings more on my blog. If you have any questions let me know.
Thanks!
Becky

My baby
This is the first time Dexton has kept a hat on.

We got to babysit our friends little boy and Dexton and Lincoln had so much fun. Dexton is still not use to sharing his toys. That is still a struggle with him but he did good. Lincoln is so cute and well behaved.

Loves Cupcakes!

Dexton loves mommies cupcakes! I made chocolate covered cupcakes and I was cooling them outside. Dexton found them and this is what happened...

Kangaroo Zoo

Dave looks like he is having fun huh. Like father like son!

A while back we went to Kangaroo Zoo with Daves best friend Adam and his little boy Lincoln. Lincoln loved it and I thought Dexton would absolutely love it...I was wrong. He liked playing with the toys that are at the Doctors office better then anything. I think the slides scared him a little bit. I think he will enjoy it more when he is older though. It was fun anyways. The only thing that sucks about it is if you weigh more then 150 pounds you are not allowed to go on anything, therefore I had to climb the stairs with Dexton and put him on the slide. It was a work out :) but fun!

Christmas Jammies!

I found these Asian clothes at this Asian store...75% off so I couldn't resist, I had to get them for our "Christmas Jammies!" There weren't any big enough for Dave or I would have gotten him one too.
We have had this toy since I was a little girl and it's still a hit with all the grand kids. Papa and Dexton playing on Christmas Eve.

Dexton finding his candy in his stocking. Angie exhausted.

Angie spoiled Dexton like usual. This is a play 4-wheeler she got him. He loved it.

Dave had to fly on Christmas Eve and Christmas so Santa came early for Dexton. His favorite gift was his vacuum. Those that don't really know Dave, Dave is a CLEAN FREAK, ( it's a good thing though), but like father like son...Dexton loves to clean :)

Stephanie, my friend is a wonderful artist and she had to paint different culture mothers in her art class. This is the one she did of me and Dexton.

Chocolate Covered Cupcake Lollipops!

I was thinking and thinking that I need to do something different and saw something like this on line...CHOCOLATE COVERED CUPCAKES! I was going to do it!!! The first batch didn't look so well but the 2nd batch came out pretty good. Here are my new cupcakes!
