Utah Beach!!!

So a while back my work Chilis had a work party here at the man made Utah Beach :) It was freaking awesome for Utah. Though the "ocean" was more like a pond and the "sand" was a mix of sand and gravel Dexton absolutly loved it!!! I wish summer wasn't over yet or we would go again this year. If you ever want to go it's in Ashland Ridge Dr, Herriman

Weight Gain!

Before Looking Hot!

After. I could not stop him from eating!
Before...
This is is the ONLY reason why you shouldn't cruise...WEIGHT GAIN!

Mariner of the Seas!

"Mariner of the Seas"

We were delayed for an hour in LA. Dave asked one of the workers what was going on. We were waiting for the toilet paper. Ha! Ha! But we really were!
Good Bye LA!! Hello Mexico!!!

So Dave and I just got back from a 7 day cruise to Mexico on the Mariner of the Seas from Royal Caribbean. It was awesome but this was our 2nd time here cruising but last time we went with Princess, we will not be doing this cruise again for a LONG time. You can only see Mexico so many times and 3 times is good for us. If you have never cruised before you have never vacationed like anything else. Here are my top 6 reasons why everyone should cruise...
  1. CHEAP! Well worth your money! For 7 days it cost us $350 plus $100 for gratuity. (each) That includes your room, your food all day everyday, your entertainment, and all the shows! And we are lucky because we don't pay for airfair!!! But it gets better for us...we have been saving our credit card points so we had $600 for our cruise so our grand total for the both of us was...$400 TOTAL. Wahoo!!!
  2. The entertainment! From the Broadway shows to the comedians. Well worth it!
  3. The Relaxation!!! What is a vacation...RELAXATION!!! Just sipping on some Pina Coladas by the pool while baking in the sun and listening to a live Jamaican Band. Aaah...so peaceful.
  4. The Food. It does depend on the cruise ships you go on but Oh My Gosh the food is so...good!
  5. There is something for everyone! Whether you just like to relax by the pool, or go on hikes, or love to shop there is something for everyone!
  6. They cater to your kids!!! For kids that are 3 and potty trained they will take care of them for you so you can go to your nice dinner and show or whatever you want to do. There are so many things for kids to do on the ship! Even though we did not take Dexton. We will though one day. We hope to take our family on the Disney Cruise in the future...far far in the future. I heard that one is pricey!

Hitting the Casino!

Well I have never been a gambler. I hate loosing money and just think it's a waist of time. I get so much anxiety about it I just refuse to do it....usually. For some crazy reason I really wanted to gamble this trip. So I started at that STUPID STUPID MONEY EATING MACHINE, the one that you put quarters in and "supposadly" it pushes the quarters up eventually pushing the quarters out. Yeah right, NEVER do that machine. I swear it's rigged but I did eventually come out even only because I ended up at the Roulette table. Started with $20 almost left with $5 BUT lucky me I won "Big" and won my whole $20 back plus $5. That was the end for me. No more gambling the rest of the trip for me, it just kills me. Dave on the other hand did great! Played Craps and did well. He's just good about winning and knowing when to quit. And with me I just want to win and win more.

Just lovin life!

Eating...and eating...and eating...

Our Beautiful Buffet waiting for us every day!

Roasted Lamb Shoulder...not the best.
Shrimp Scampi over rice with a delicious butter sauce and asparagus. Delicious!!!
Chocolate Lava Cake, it's no Molten LOL, but really.
Thinking "this is it? Oh but I can get 2nds!" But I didn't :) I controled myself, one of the only times.
Dave's Breakfast
We did not want to wait for a table in the "Dining Room" so we ate at the buffet for the 1st night. It was ok but it wasn't any "Dining Room" dinner :(
Our yummy duck dinner
What! It's just oranges :)
So this picture is priceless. We could not stop laughing when we saw this picture so I had to post it. And the face actually tells you how his food tasted. Not so good. Lamb shoulder, not a fan.
Our morning Breakfast in Cabo San Lucas

So anyone that has gone on a cruise you know you eat and eat and eat!!! There is food 24-7. And for the most part the food is really good!!! Knowing this Dave and I were at the Gym EVERY morning for at least an hour so we could burn off at least some of the calories we were eating. It was well worth it though. You can not diet and cruise at the same time. I guess you could but the desserts are so...good how could you!!!

1st Formal Night!

Formal Dinner #1
So the ship was handing our Free Champagne. One of the workers gave it to me and Dave took it out of my hand trying to put it somewhere so I had to get a picture with him holding it!
No Drinking for us.
Me outside resting. These shoes killed me!
Our favorite meal of the trip. Roasted Duck with red cabbage and fried potatoes. Yummo!!!

I love love formal night!!! It's so much fun to wear dresses you'll never wear anywhere else! I love it!!!

Cabo San Lucas

Just got to Cabo San Lucas. That is our ship behind us.
The shops that we shopped at. A lesson learned the 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd price the people say to you are NEVER the price you pay for the item!!!
One of the Beaches
Our "Glass Bottom Boat" Are you impressed???
A ton of Seals and they STUNK!!! It was disgusting!

There isn't anywhere to put the ship by Cabo, so the Ship stops in the ocean and we have to take small boats to get to Cabo. So this is us on the boat heading to Cabo.

The rock on the left is suppose to look like Scooby Doo they say.

I personally thought Cabo San Lucas was the most beautiful out of all the ports. The rocks were amazing and the beaches were beautiful. We went on a "Glass bottom boat" I guess you can say to tour Cabo. The glass bottom was barely a glass bottom. We could hardly see anything but I guess thats what you get for $18.

Inside our Ship...

Our Cabin
The 1st day, me asleep on our twin beds pushed together to make a queen
The 5th Floor, out of 14! This floor was cool, it reminded us of New York New York in Vegas.
