Happy Birthday Adam!

Dave's best friend from high school celebrated his 31st birthday.  Adam loves to eat out and try new places he has heard good things about.  So we went to this restaurant in Provo called the Communal.  It's an all organic, fresh, seasonal restaurant.  Everything is ala cart.  Did I love it, mmm no.  Did I like it, yes.  I'm just not a fine dining type of girl.  I'm glad we went, it was a great experience.  After we went and had dessert at the Chocolate in Orem.  Had a cookie ala mode.  Mmm it was good.

My pregnancy

It's so weird to me how different my pregnancies have been.  With Dexton I was sick almost the whole entire time.  I got so freaking FAT, yuck which was my fault by the way.  "Oh I'm pregnant I'll eat whatever I want, even if I'm not hungry." Idiot :)  I was so depressed during my pregnancy.  I hated working, my feet hurt all the time, I swelled up like a balloon, my feet couldn't even fit into any of my shoes.  I got this strange line down my stomic.
This pregnancy has been so easy.  I have energy, I'm able to work without wanting to die, I am so happy, I actually really love being pregnant!  I have had some scares with this one where with Dexton it was hard on me but nothing scary ever happened to me.  With this one I had the miscarriage with the twins and just the other night I woke up bleeding.  Dave was not home, he was flying but luckily he had his phone on and I got a hold of him at 2am.  I panicked.  I didn't know what to do, who to call to watch Dexton, what was happening.  Thank goodness my brother n'law works at Home Depot and doesn't usually get home till late so Dave called him and he had just gotten home.  My brother n'law lives with his sister and her family and when he went to leave there was a guy breaking into his sisters car.  He called the police and rushed over to my house.  What a brother n'law! If that was me I don't think I would have gone anywhere.  But I rushed over to the hospital and they checked the baby and she was doing great!  Hew.  They didn't have any clue why I was bleeding so much but told me the baby was fine and to go home.  I never saw a dr. once.  Dave was so mad!  He thought they should have atleast taken an ultra sound and I should have seen a dr.  So that day I called my dr. and he told me to come in, I needed to be looked at.  They did an ultrasound and saw that the placenta was bleeding but everything was ok.  He said the bleeding should stop in the next few days which it has.  I am so happy that the baby is good.  I feel her kicking like crazy, I love it.  I am so excited for her to come but not quite ready.  With Dexton I could not wait to get him out but with her I just want a little bit more time with Dexton.  I am so worried about him feeling ignored.  I really want him to feel special when she comes.  I want to do something big for him when he comes to the hospital but not sure what so if you have any ideas please share them with me.  Sorry for the long boring post, just in the mood to write today :)

My 3 Year old can SWIM!!!

So 2 years ago I put Dexton in the swim lessons at the Lehi Rec Center.  I really felt like he didn't learn anything.  My friend has had her 4 year old boy in private lessons for a couple of years now and he can swim like a fish.  It's a little pricey but definatly worth it.  The 1st few classes are intense!!!  The 1st day Dexton cried during the whole lesson.  Day 4 they made him do a double class to get him to swim on his back.  He hated his back.  As soon as they would let go of him he would turn around and try to grab them.  They refused to let him get him and pushed him to his limit.  All 3 of the kids that were taking lessons that day were throwing up.  I know how could you do this to your kids???  I really hesitated wondering if we were doing the right thing.  Lesson 5 OH MY GOSH!!!  What a difference!  Swam on his back, swam to and from the instructor, diving off the edge and swimming to his back to the edge.  I was speechless.  I couldn't believe in 5 20 minute lessons my little 3 year old could swim!!!  Everyday he improves and does something more amazing!  I am so glad my friend talked me into doing this for Dexton!  Dexton tells us he is a shark now!
FLOATING ON HIS BACK ALL BY HIMSELF.
He floats till he feels the edge and then turns around and grabs the wall.
Dave pushing Dexton down to the light in the bottom of the pool.
Dexton touches the light and swims up and grabs the wall.

Dave teaching Dexton to push back and float on his back.
Dave does it first then...

Dexton does it!   Dexton at swim lessons again.  He hated wearing the goggles but now loves it.
Dexton diving off the edge.  He has learned as soon as he jumps in to flip over and swim on his back to the wall.

California here she comes...

So my twinner left me :(  She was sick of Utah so California she went.  With no job and no place to live she packed up her bags and drove to Cali.  She stayed with a friend for a couple of days and Dave and I found her a place with some LDS girls for a month so she could get settled and find a place of her own and a job hopefully.  I was hesitant for her to move but now that she is out there I think it's a good thing.  I hope she finds out who she is and what she wants, she deserves it!  I love my twinner so much, there were a lot of tears when she left but I know she will be back, plus she can't live with out her little Dex.  Thanks Angie for all the baby sitting, hanging out with me when Dave is gone, and just being there for me!  Love ya Ang!!!
